I have been painting for over 40 years. During that time I have explored a range of styles, each of which I conjecture is an aspect of my core being and each a reflection of my psychology at that moment (in essence a visual diary). Though the sensibility of my work over time seems to me to be consistent, the means employed and symbology vary.
My work is concerned with the seemingly superficial minutia that comprise our daily life. (the humorous, contradictory, self-destructive, superficial elements that define what I perceive to be the natural condition).
I initially establish a format within which the sundry items are arranged. Some work, some metamorphose, some disappear. The process is organic.
